Tiring day. Had an allergic reaction of some sort - not sure from what (something in the yard probably). Took some Benadryl which helped but left me completely wiped.

Thank you. Actually Pete, I think it's a lack of stretching and variety that's probably causing the issue... General stress right now isn't helping. I'll give the squats a little rest after a couple more sessions. A little stretching of the hips and lower body does a world of good for me.

Giving squats a rest even though I hate leaving them out. BSSs are hard for me w. bdwt. Not real hard, but hard. VMO and hip flexors felt it pretty good. Never went heavy w. these, but 135 used to be no big deal as accessory work. I'm a long way from that...

Was okay for how generally fat and terrible I feel. Just got back from a week in Japan. Didn't do a d**n thing physically except A LOT of walking, stairs, "rucking" in the city. Showed some HS baseball players some band work for shoulder prehab and that was well received.

For Bulgarian Split Squats, I push off the rear elevated ball of my foot, not the instep. It makes it easier for me to engage the hip flexor. It becomes a great mobility exercise for me. I could just do walking lunges uphill but that's too much like work...
