I've decided it's time for a new journal. Hamstring issues (knock on wood) are a thing of the past though I still have lower back thingies from time to time. The remainder of the year looks promising training-wise. I'm planning on accomplishing the following with the time I have left in 2011:
*rebuild the squat to reasonable levels (315lbs for sets of 10 qualifies as reasonable to me) *barbell press 200lbs (from below chin-level) *renew my RKC certification *I'd like to close the CoC #2 and one-arm DL 200lbs on the 2" v-bar. I really have no idea where I am on either currently and have no idea what kind of effort it will take to attain them, but these are "I'd like to..." goals.
I have training notes from my time in Japan, but I'm going to start this log off from July and fill in the blanks in the old log later.

It's a little toasty in the garage lately. Toward the end I reeked of ammonia so bad that I was having a tough time handling it!!!

Good, realistic, goals Boris. Tough but do-able.
Hope all goes well.
Did you keep the dog?

Yes, so far. The little one has to do his share or we're giving it to grandpa and grandma. I don't like being a hardass, but otherwise I'll be doing ALL the work.

Thanks Johnny - it's less than what we used on the hill that day. Not so bad.

The purpose with these is simply to keep my hand in on the exercises. Both are exercises that I always feel better and healthier with when they are in the mix.

Spent a good chunk of the day fixing the gate to our fence. As soon as the dog went outside, she nailed a baby bunny - her second in two days... I'm living with a killer.

Tuesday, August 9, 2011 Pull-Ups: x16, x10
Also did some flat-out, full-bore sprinting with the new dog. She's fast. Probably not the smartest thing in the world to do with zero warm-up... Learned my lesson. I've been on a caffeine fast since Saturday. I'm just starting to feel a little closer to normal.

"Also did some flat-out, full-bore sprinting with the new dog. She's fast." I'd have been very surprised if you HADN'T found that she was fast! If you ever win a sprint against her....change career
