Thanks for the link Johnny! Some of those things were common sense to me - I just kind of figured that glycogen was NOT something I had to worry about replenishing after weight training... The info about NSAIDs I'm sure I read somewhere - maybe an old M&F or maybe in a coaching class, but I knew they were bad for muscle gains. As far as not helping muscle soreness though, I don't know about that - it always helps me when I'm d**n sore. I pretty much assumed that the "hour window" was kind of overblown, but I didn't think it would be A DAY! I'm still thinking that sooner is better than later though... I had heard of studies showing GREATER rates of cancers and certain diseases among people who took large quantities of anti-oxidants. Interesting that there are studies that show that their ingestion post-workout can have negative impact on recovery! One thing you gotta love about old T-mag is the generous use of totally irrelevant pics to glam up their articles, like the following!
